All Purple Rugs are Not Made Equal

Written by Original Source | Posted in Interior Design

If you are looking for purple rugs you are likely to come across a vast range of different types, more than you would ever have dreamed possible. You will probably not find very many in local stores however. It is only once you start shopping on the Web that you realize how many rugs you have to choose from but unfortunately not every rug you love will also be a good fit for your home and circumstances. Here are a few tips to help with your decision.

1. Is the Quality Right?

Sometimes it can be difficult to see the quality of the rug from an image on the web so always look and see if there are any customer reviews that you need to pay attention to. Failing that, check that there is an easy returns policy in case you need to send the rug back should it not live up to expectations. In any case, if you’re worried, you can expect a higher quality if you are considering natural fibers. A purple wool rug will usually be better quality than a synthetic one.

2. Is the Style Right?

You may love the rug but the style also has to be in keeping with the style of your room. If you have a formal dining room, a rug with a contemporary design is probably not the best thing for example.

3. Is the Color Right?

If you need your rug to match other purple items in your room then make sure that the shades are similar or work well together. If this is your first purple purchase for the space then consider whether you will be able to buy other items in the same shade.

4. Is the Price Right?

Check the price of the rug along with any shipping charges and sales taxes which might be added on to see if it is within the budget you have set yourself for your purchase.
