Bermuda Grass Lawn Care
Things to Remember About Bermuda Grass Lawn Care
Bermuda grass lawn care is fairly easy, but it does require certain kinds of maintenance to keep it looking its best. One important thing to remember is to make sure that you do not water the grass too much. It is like most plants in that excessive water can cause it to develop a fungus and possibly kill it.
A benefit to Bermuda grass is that it will help to get rid of weeds in your yard. Once it finally starts growing it will start to take over and will smother out a lot of the weeds that may be in your lawn.
Once you get this grass established in your lawn, it will give your lawn a very upscale look, but you will be out cutting the lawn possibly more than any one else living nearby who have different grass in their lawn. Bermuda grass does best for you to mow it more often and just barely cut any off. You will want to make sure that the mower does have a sharp blade, otherwise it will just rip the grass and make it look rough.
Bermuda grass usually does not require a huge amount of fertilizer. One way of helping put nutrients back in the ground is to leave your grass catcher off of your mower. You can then leave the grass scattered throughout your lawn. The grass being scattered also helps keep the Bermuda grass more moist.
Another thing to remember is that it is best not to mow your lawn when the grass is wet from rain. If you mow it when it is wet, then you will have clumps of grass throughout your lawn which could end up killing the grass that is underneath it.
Because the Bermuda grass is fairly easy to care for and will make your yard look great, you cannot really fail by having your lawn planted with this type of grass. Everyone will wonder how you have such a beautiful lawn.
