Water coolers are a great way to provide clean, safe and enjoyable water to your friends and family. There are a large variety of water coolers available and each one has its advantages as well as its disadvantages. One of the more popular varieties are the bottom loading water coolers. They offer many conveniences over other types of bottled water coolers.
The primary advantage that a bottom loading water cooler has is that you don’t have to lift a water bottle up on top of the cooler to load it. Water bottles tend to be pretty heavy and if you are using a 5 gallon water bottle, they generally weight about 42 pounds. With a bottom loading feature, you no longer have to struggle trying to load the water bottle in there. All you have to do is get the water bottle into the bottom of the water cooler, hook up the pump and away you go. That being said you still have to find a way to get the water bottle over to the cooler and load it in. This is much easier however because you can use a dolly or hand truck or worst case just roll the water bottle over.
Another big advantage of the bottom loading five gallon water coolers is that the water bottle is stored out of sight. Having the water bottle perched on top of the dispenser can be unsightly and if you are using it as an office water cooler it can seem unprofessional. Having the clean lines and modern look of a bottom loading water cooler adds to the aesthetic value and gives the room a more professional feel.
The one thing to be careful with when it comes time to buy one is that in the past some manufacturers have had problems with the pump not hooking up correctly. Reading a few reviews should be able to tell you whether or not this is an issue with that water cooler dispenser.
