Can you buy a good quality electric treadmill for under $400? In this article, we’ll look at two bestselling electric treadmills from the cheaper end of the range, one designed for running and one for walking. Both sell for less than $400 and are well liked by customers.

The first in our review is the Weslo Cadence GTX Treadmill. Although it is a budget treadmill it has an adequate range of features and gives a good workout. The cushioning of the running surface is efficient at lessening impact at higher running speeds and the LCD display is excellent. The display includes a Motivational RaceTrack to track your progress which is popular. Customers were very satisfied with the treadmill and though it good value for money. Although it is cheap customers noted that it is good quality and sturdy although features are a bit basic,which is to be expected at this price. Overall a good value, budget treadmill.

Our next electric treadmill review is of the Paradigm Fitness Walking Treadmill. This machine is designed for the less fit or older user who wants to walk rather than run and has a maximum speed of 4mph. It is also a bestseller on Amazon and costs just over $300. The wide side rails are stable and the walking surface level and powered by a 1.5 hp motor. It folds for storage and can be moved around on the transport wheels. Distance, time, calories and speed are clearly displayed on the LCD screen.

Customers at Amazon gave the Paradigm Fitness Walking Treadmill an average rating of 4 1/2 stars. they liked the easy assembly and the emergency off switch which many people felt was helpful for older users with a fear of falling. The wide side rails were also helpful. It is compact and easy to store and ideal for older people to exercise in the comfort of their home. One disadvantage pointed out was that, with a shorter walking surface than most treadmills, it my not be suitable for taller people.

For budget end electric treadmills the Weslo Cadence GTX Treadmill and the Paradigm Fitness Walking Treadmill are both good value for money.
