In case you haven’t been noticing, coffee makers have changed a lot over the past decade. These machines used to be pretty simple. All they did was brew coffee when you put the water in and turned the machine on.

These days however, some of the best electric perk coffee makers come with all kinds of features that were pretty much unheard of a few short years ago. One example of this is the single cup coffee machine.  These machines brew one cup at a time. You put a pre-packed little cup into the machine, and presto, out comes a great cup of coffee. The good thing about these machines is that they will make any beverage you want.  The pre-packed cups, also known as K-cups or coffee pods, come in all kinds of different brands flavors, including decaf, mocha, and cappuccino. If coffee isn’t your cup of tea, you can also get cocoa, green tea, and a whole host of other choices as well.

Another great feature that some coffee features have is timers. What this means is that you can set the machine to start brewing your coffee at a time in the future. This comes in handy if you are the type of person who is always in a rush to get out the door in the morning. With a timer, the coffee maker turns on automatically a few minutes before you wake up, makes your coffee, and has it all hot and ready for you when you enter the kitchen. Of course, not everyone likes all these new features. If you want to get a machine that is different entirely, take a look at these electric vacuum coffee makers. Although they definitely aren’t the fastest, they are unique and produce great tasting, strong coffee and are popular in other parts of the world.
