Color Contacts Prescription

If you already wear contact lenses to correct your vision or for astigmatism, then you can go ahead and order color contacts with the prescription you already have. However, if you have never worn contact lenses before and are interested in color contacts, then there are some things you should know before you can place your order.

Some people that wear glasses may be interested in going to wearing contact lenses. This will change the look of their face and while they’re doing that, they may be interesting in also changing the color of their eyes. If you do currently wear glasses, you cannot use that prescription, you will need a contact lens prescription since it’s totally different. With contacts, the lenses sit on your eyes instead of a short distance away from your eyes. You will still want to hang onto your glasses for when you’re not wearing your contact lenses.

Wearing Contact Lenses

It may sound really strange how you can stick lenses in your eyes. It did to me at first. I wondered if I would always feel them or if they would move around. I even had one friend tell me some urban legends about the lens going behind someone’s eyes. That rarely happens and they would have to be doing something really strange in that case. Lots of people wear contacts with no problems at all.

The way it works is, even through your eyes are very discerning about what goes in them, they gladly accept contact lenses. It’s pretty amazing but also makes sense. You know that getting a small particle in your eye can really hurt, right? That’s good that it hurts because your eyes are translating that pain and discomfort to your brain so that you can do something about it. Contact lenses are larger than small particles and is something your eyes are already used to since something large goes across them all the time – your eye lids!

Choosing Colors

Color contacts come in a variety of colors. There are also different sets for people that naturally have light colored eyes and those with dark colored eyes. So you can make your brown eyes blue if you want to!
