Oil Filled Radiator

There are a couple of different reasons why people use space heaters in the wintertime. Some people like to have a space heater for their own personal comfort. They may not turn the thermostat down, but find that the place where they sit or the office where they work is too cool. A personal radiant fan or small space heater remedies this problem for them. Other people opt to use a space heater almost as a replacement for whole house heating. They turn the thermostat down to try to save on energy bills and use a space heater just to warm a room enough to be comfortable.

If you’ve ever considered this because you have such high heating bills, you should look into purchasing an oil filled radiator. This is a popular type of heating appliance that’s inexpensive to use, safe to use and that can slash your energy bills dramatically. It does take a little bit of sacrifice to really save on your heating bill even if you choose to use one of these radiators. The biggest drawback is that you won’t be able to heat your whole house. You’re going to have some rooms that are going to stay pretty cool or even cold.

Use the radiator in whichever room you spend the most time, and in your bedroom at night. You could purchase two or more electric oil filled radiators to keep one in your most used room and perhaps one in your bathroom. When you get up in the morning, you can easily take your radiator into the living room or kitchen with you, making it a convenient choice. By heating just one room instead of your whole house you’ll automatically save money.

Be sure the model that you purchase has an internal thermostat that allows it to turn off and on as needed. That will save you even more money than you’d save by using a different type of space heater that stays on constantly.
