You want to make sure that the parts match your existing instrument and do not lessen the quality of the piece.

A cheap part on an expensive guitar not only lessens the value of your instrument but also degrades the playing experience you are giving yourself. Although it needn’t be the defining part of you as a musician, remember that the instrument you use does say quite a bit about you as an artist. Different styles, designs, customizations, and sounds can help to define your music, and give you the feel you are looking for. While this may only be relevant to more professional artists, the casual player may actually be surprised with the effect different customizations have on their playing experience.
