The making of perfume is a science. You need to understand about how different kinds of scents interact with each other and with various body chemistries. On the other hand, you might decide that it is time for a change. If it has been several years since you changed scents then a perfume for mature women might be more appropriate than what you had been wearing. No matter which direction you take, have an idea of what you want to try before you go to the store. It can be overwhelming if you start from scratch in the middle of the perfume department.

When you try on new perfumes, make sure you do not wear any fragrance to the store. You want to start fresh and only try on two scents at a time, one on each arm. You need to be able to smell each choice for hours to come so you can not mix them. It may take several trips, but you will be much more satisfied with the results if you go about the decision making process the right way.
