Write a presentation that will help you sell all the major points of your potential new product. Make sure your presentation as a whole comes together like a business proposal template, since that is what it really is.

Let the company know what your new product will be. Tell them why your invention is unique and a good investment in their point. Have details on production costs and manufacturing techniques available. Make your invention look marketable and easy to sell to its target audience. Give the company all the information you can, because they will want to know everything about your invention in order to make a decision about funding it.

If the company decides that they want your invention, they may give you funding so that you can cover manufacturing yourself. Alternatively they may purchase the rights to the invention directly from you. You may receive a flat fee, potentially with access to royalties from future sales.

Many people have great ideas. Some people even have the motivation to make their ideas come to fruition. However, not all people have the savvy to know how to invent something and get financial support for it. Take your time building your presentation from the ground up. You are the only one who can market and ultimately sell your idea.
