2. Kindle vouchers for your loved one to redeem the cost of future book purchases are of course a great idea. You can personalise them and really make them suit the recipient perfectly.
3. You could make your own library of free books available online and give the whole thing on a CD or memory stick. This is a great way to actually give the gift of you doing something for your friend. Use the largest online libraries such as the Gutenberg Project and download free copies of hundreds of thousands of out of copyright books. Be sure to download unprotected .azw or .mobi files so that they will work on your friends Kindle reader.
