One way to keep your legs warm when wearing shorts, a dress or skirt is to wear knee high socks. The popular white knee high socks have been in style for decades. Women find them comfortable and practical at the same time.

They can be worn for many occasions, too. You can get some for just wearing around the house or to go with your outfit. They’re available in many colors, styles and patterns that you can find some knee high socks to match whatever outfit you’re wearing.

There are even novelty knee high socks with some fun patterns. Argyle knee highs are also popular among girls and teens. You can see them worn with plaid skirts, which teens like to do but wearing knee highs doesn’t mean you will necessarily look young, or too young for your age. If you wear them with a longer skirt, versus a short or mini skirt, then they can look contemporary yet fun. That’s the great thing about them – they are so versatile.

Some good occasions for wearing knee high socks are:

  • Playing Sports
  • Going to Sporting Events
  • Skiing
  • Rollerskating
  • Camping
  • Volleyball
  • Cheerleading
  • Holidays (Christmas, Halloween, St. Patrick’s Day, etc.)

Knee high socks can add some style to an outfit like with a mini-skirt, mini-shorts, a dress, plaid skirt, capris, jeans or even with boots. Again, some older teens may think that they will look too young if they wear knee highs, but it all depends on what you wear them with – so don’t give up wearing them too soon if you really like wearing them.

You can always enjoy them when you’re hanging around the house or watching movies on the couch. They’re really comfortable to wear either in the winter with a few layers or even in summer months in the evening to help keep your feet and legs warm when wearing shorts.
