Maruti Suzuki Eeco – A Common Man’s Car
The collaboration of Maruti with Suzuki has produced great vehicles and the latest one is 5 as well as 7 seater called Maruti Suzuki Eeco. The company has always manufactured cars which are affordable by common man in India. A common man wants value for money car and Eeco is certainly the one.
Many believed that most of the MPVs are not for the common man as they tend to be costly. But Maruti, along with Suzuki, have changed this by the launch of Eeco which also has opened up new way in the buying these affordable MPV.
It was in Delhi Expo 2010 the Eeco was showcased. They also showcased the electric version called Eeco Charge, running upto 100 km/hr and covering the same distance in a single charge.
Power of the Vehicle: This MPV has a 1199cc petrol engine with a power of 73 bhp and 6000 rpm coupled with 101 Nm Torque. It comes with a 5speed manual gear. The main point of this car is the mileage which can give 15.1 km/liter according to the test results of ARAi. Gear box has Diagonal Shift Assistance which makes the care very smooth and noise free. This car meets the emission norm that comes into action from 2011 April.
Looking at the Interiors: the designs of headlight and tail lights are very clear. Dash board is neatly done and all the clusters are placed neatly. This car can be closely compared with Maruti Versa. It has sliding doors and the seats provide a very good comfort to the passengers. The car very spacious and can also be used to move cargo.
Colors: The car comes in various colors. One can choose from glistering metallic gray and silver. There is also a choice for dark colors like Blue Blaze, black and red along with white.
Pricing: Maruti Suzuki have priced this car very aggressively. This 7 seater car without AC would cost 27000 (ex showroom) and 5 seater AC car will cost 289000.
