A gift I got a few years back from a friend of mine was a pair of mens leather driving gloves. At first, I didn’t know what to say and didn’t really think I’d use tham at all but I did like to drive. It was something he owned and thought that I would like them, too.

Right about that time, I traded in my Jeep Wrangler and got an Acura sportscar – it was on my birthday, too. I lived in a part of town where if I’d drive about 10 minutes, I’d be out on some windy, country roads that had absolutely no traffic on them. They were fun to drive on. I’d rev the engine high and stay off the brakes unless I really needed to use them. I could really feel the car as I shifted up and down.

What made that experience better was those auto driving gloves that I got as a gift. When I wore them out on my trips where I’d just go out driving (does anyone do that anymore?), I could really grip the steering wheel well and I felt more in control. Driving at higher than normal speeds around corners, it was very important to have a firm grip on the wheel. If I had lost my grip on it, then I could have gotten into some serious trouble.

So if you know a guy that loves to just go out driving, I suggest getting some lined leather drving gloves so that it’s a safe experience. I suggest black ones!
