Why I Bought a Mini Greenhouse

I’ve always considered myself to be a fairly experienced gardener. I mean, I’ve had my fair share of setbacks and disappointments, but I’ve generally been able to grow some pretty nice looking plants. That being said, I’ve always found it tough going into the winter season and having to give up on plants that I know just won’t make it through the cold. I started getting frustrated with spending money on plants that I knew I would later just have to till under or toss in the trash. Fortunately, I quickly realized that I could continue growing these plants throughout the colder months using a mini greenhouse.

Some of the first examples of mini greenhouses were seen at my local hardware store of all places. They had a series of 4-tier mini greenhouses, which are intended to be used throughout the spring and summer months. Knowing that I wanted to use my greenhouse throughout the year, I decided to head online for my purchase, and I eventually found a larger sized free-standing structure. I’ve only had the greenhouse for about 6 months, but here are some of the reasons I love it:

  • Spacious – this greenhouse is large enough for me to walk inside, but small enough to fit into a back corner of our yard.
  • Full Featured – this house contains everything to make gardening easier, from automated irrigation to basic climate control to adjustable benches.
  • Priced Right – although this house was certainly more expensive than some of the smaller models, it was still very reasonable at around $1,000 delivered.

If you think you might be interested in taking advantage of all that a mini greenhouse offers then I suggest you head online and browse through some of the larger retailers there. Just looking around will give you a sense of what’s available and you can also ask questions if necessary.
