Paid Car Wrap

Ever heard of the phrase, ‘paid car wrap’? This is the newest mode of advertising via get paid to drive program in which the owner’s car is covered with vinyl wraps with advertising materials and contact details. This advertising program is considered to be win-win situation for both the car owner and the advertising agency. The car owner can have a free car customization with the use of car vinyl wraps (thus, the opportunity to transform the interface design of the car) and the advertising agency (or the business owner) can reap benefits by this kind of advertising.

There are many variations and considerations when it comes to the ‘get paid to drive program’ of some advertising agencies. The first consideration is the type of advertisement in which the owner will plan to apply.

Normally, there are only two types – the half or partial wrap or the full wrap advertisement. Half or partial wrap advertisement accounts for a specific parts in which the advertisement is being affixed – usually in the side or rear windows. Some variations are in a form of vinyl lettering or an image which contains the company logo and the contact details for easy memory recall. Full body wrap however will entirely wrap and transform your car in an entirely different look. Full body wrap advertisement cost higher as compared to the partial or half wrap.

Another consideration that both parties need to consider is the application process. For the car owner, it is a prerequisite that he should be of legal age, with a driver’s license, and has a clean driving record. At times it is not permitted for car owners to drink alcohol within the required span of time especially if he’d drive under the influence of it. For the part of the advertising agency or the business owner, it is important for them to choose the most reliable car drivers that would comply with their requirements. Car drivers are made to drive within a specific target area (usually densely populated area to gather a lot of exposures from lots of people – who may be potential clients and customers) within a specific time frame. Other advertising agencies would just pay people to drive their car like they how they used to do their own way.

Some variations of the ‘get paid to drive’ program of some advertising agencies include lending out their own cars with vinyl car wraps for applicants to use. The drivers are not paid to drive the car, but they can freely use the car for a specified time frame. That way, they can also save money from transportation cost and obviously, having a car to drive way is more convenient that commuting the bus or public vehicles.
