Perfume Review: Paris Hilton By Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton Perfume Line
This fragrance was launched in 2004, designed by Parlux, together with Paris Hilton. According to the original project, this had to be a on-off perfume, without any following versions. Thanks to several factors though (the low price, a neutral aroma, the use of pheromones in the ingredients, a low price), it was a great success and a whole Paris Hilton perfume line followed.
The style of this perfume is very feminine classic. One could almost say that the designers didn’t want to take any risk, and stay in a safe zone of notes that any woman could appreciate in a perfume. The same thing happened with the first of Britney Spears perfumes, another celebrity who ventured into the perfume market with a fair amount of success.
The official notes for this fragrance are: apple, apricot, mimosa, freesia, jasmine, sandalwood, musk, ylang-ylang and pheromones.
The opening is very intense, both floral and fruity, with notes of synthetic apple, and a undefined sweet aroma, which reminds of Ralph by Ralph Lauren.
The middle notes add freesia, and other florals, which are somehow obscured by the synthetic note of the beginning. At this point the intensity has lowered. In the base notes the green apple of the beginning comes back, with traces of fresh freesia, and traces of red fruits, which remind of a chewing gum.
This Paris Hilton perfume is suitable for any time of the year although it tends a little bit more towards spring and summer. It works well in an office environment, especially in the middle phase, where it’s more classic. On the romantic side, it’s supposed to work like a charm due to the presence of pheromones, but probably not everyone will find it addictive. It will work well in a candle-lit dinner, but don’t, but it won’t make you date fall in love with you at the first appointment. Age range from 20 to 50.
