The Silpada Story

Silpada Designs was started in 1997 by Bonnie Kelly and Teresa Walsh when the decided to turn their love for jewlery and artistic design into a profitable business, where they can share their passion and vision with others.

Bonnie and Terri are the co-founders and run their business from their corporate headquarters in Lenexa, Kansas. They work with various designers from all over the globe to create and bring to life the sterling silver masterpieces. Independant artisans create each piece of jewelery, making each item special and uniquely handcrafted. Pieces are then analyzed and bought by Silpada from those individual jewelers and designers.

This is what makes Silpada jewelry so special, it is not mass produced in a factory or workshop somewhere, instead, each design is masterfully crafted and put together by its creator. On average, each piece is touched and checked by at lease six to eight skilled artisans, before they are sold by certified representatives.

Another unique thing about Silpada is that they use .925 sterling silver, which is of the highest quality available in the market. Their designs are usually complemented by natural materials like semi-precious stones, wood, shells, and leather. Their products even come with a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects.

Silpada jewlery can not be found in retail stores, as they are sold exclusively by independent Silpada Design Representatives. However, to get your hands on these one-of-a-kind pieces you can either contact a local representative through their website, or become one yourself! You could also host one of their House Parties and receive up to 30% in free jewelry credit, depending on the earnings of your party sales.

These Designs have been gaining great momentum in the fashion world with its enduring hip-classic style. It has been featured in both local and world-renowned beauty and fashion magazine like In-Style, LUCKY, Family Circle, and Good Housekeeping, and has been sighted on celebrities like Jennifer Love Hewitt and Samantha Harris.

You didn’t state where it’s made, and everyone who has a brain understands what independent artisans really means.

Publish a percent markup what they buy the pieces for and then sell it for.

If you think that’s fair then you and I have a different definition.
