These days there has been a huge emphasis on relying on green energy and steering away from fossil fuels. No more need to rely on an electric power company who are powered by coal, nuclear power, and other things that damage our environment. Solar lighting is cheap to buy and even cheaper to operate. You do not have to worry about leaving any carbon footprints or doing any damage to the environment. There are only positive things that you can say about using solar pathway lighting in a yard.
