Special Effect Contact Lenses
It’s pretty amazing the special effects that you see in movies and on TV. Sometimes what you see are CGI effects but other times it’s done with make up and costumes. In some movies that have come out recently, we’re seeing certain characters’ eyes be different colors with the use of special effects contact lenses.
Some recent movies that are using these kinds of contact lenses are Twilight, Alice in Wonderland and Avatar. You can find special effects contact lenses in colors like yellow, amber and neon green. They come in other colors as well but these are the colors being used in these recent movies. Amber colored contact lenses are very popular from the movie Twilight.
These kinds of contact are also known as cosmetic contact lenses or decorative contact lenses. You can get them to wear with a Halloween costume to make it really cool looking. People will notice if you get different colored contact lenses because these colors are very different from what you normally see.
If you already wear contact lenses, then you can order them with your normal prescription. If you don’t already wear contact or need corrective lenses, then you can order them without vision correction. You may be able to find them without a prescription but we don’t suggest doing that. What you should do is go to an eye doctor for a quick visit and get them fitted for your eyes. You will walk out with a prescription for them even though they are non corrective and do not affect your vision. I think the character, The Mad Hatter, will be a popular Halloween costume this year. People will want to get Mad Hatter contacts to compliment their costume.
