Every single year, the trends of teenage girls swimwear grow. Something that was popular twenty years ago became unpopular ten years ago, only to become popular again today.

Skirtinis, tankinis, monoskinis, bikinis, reversible bathing suits and mix and matched bathing suits are all very popular bathing suits for teens. One major problem however is that most teens tend to go for swimwear that does not cover as much as their parents would prefer.

Tankinis for Teenage Girls


Skirtinis and tankinis are perfect for parents who have a teen who would like to show her figure off in a bathing suit but also keep parents from going overboard by trying to cover her up all the time. The bottom is made to look just like regular bikini panties but also has a skirt wrapped around it. The tankini shows off a young girl’s figure and allows for what teens crave in a bathing suit, but does not show enough off to give Dad a few more gray hairs. It is a win-win scenario with this duo.

Monokinis are perfect because they are one-piece bathing suits and come in so many different styles and colors. You can find some that are simple and support a frame while others have the sides cut open to reveal some skin. Other monokinis looks like a two-piece but are worn as a one-piece bathing suit.

Bikinis are great but throughout the years, they just seem to be getting a little smaller. When it comes to teens and parents, bikinis are not the most agreeable teenage girl’s swimwear to shop for and neither is string swimwear.

Reversible bathing suits are great for teenagers. In this day in age, a recession has landed many people either in debt or with little money to buy miscellaneous items their children crave. With a reversible bathing suit, a teenage girl can wear a pink bathing suit one day and turn it inside out the next day to reveal a yellow one. Teenage girls are completely infatuated with bathing suits during summer; the more they have the happier they are. With a reversible teen bathing suit, it is as if they have two different bathing suits already.

With fashions today, it is simple to find a bathing suit or swimwear that any teenage girl will love, as long as it is brightly colored and shows off a teenager’s tan, than she is happy. Finding one that parents will agree on however, has been a growing mission since the dawn of time.
