At a time when decoration and preservation rhyme should we use temporary paper blinds?

The answer is certainly a resounding yes if you choose the Redi Shade® temporary blind that is made from 100% recycled paper. It has a beautiful off white, some might call it ecru, tint and the paper is pleated in a charming way. It allows light to come through but does not let people on the outside see what is happening in your home. The neutral style is perfect as it can be adapted to any home decor, and the texture is well suited for the possibility to add personal decoration, like stickers, sequins, or braids.

These blinds are super easy to install. Being very light weight, it is sufficient to place it where you want it, then press on the self adhesive band to attach it. You should before attaching it cut it to the exact size you need. You can remove it as easily as you put it up. To open the blind and keep it open two little clips are included. These blinds are available in different intensity of light filtering. You can get a light soft light through in a living room, or you might choose a room darkening blind for a baby’s room, where you would want to block out the light for baby’s nap during the day.

This is by far one of the cheapest window covering you will ever find, but we should remember that they are made of paper and should be considered temporary, even if some people have been able to use them for many years.

If you are looking for a more lasting solution there are also some inexpensive Roman shades available. These shades are normally made of fabric, they come in a variety of designs and colors and can really make a room sparkle. No matter how inexpensive they are, they cannot compete in price with paper blinds.

Regardless of what you decide paper blinds or roman shades you will find some in department stores, building supply stores and in countless online stores.
