Vitamin Supplements, Dietary Supplements, Nutritional Vitamins, Whole Vitamins

Many of us do not eat as healthy as we should. We miss vital food groups as we go through the day eating our meals and snacks. So it’s good advice to take a multi-vitamin or use vitamin supplements to make sure our bodies get what they need. Many people take vitamins for this reason. When your body has the proper nutrients, it can properly digest and use the food you take in, keeping you healthy.

Vitamin Supplements

Taking vitamin supplements is by far one of the best ways to add a few years to your overall life span. The reason is simply because the foods that we eat on a daily basis do not contain the amount of vitamins and minerals that our bodies require. Taking a vitamin supplement will make up for the the vitamins and minerals that you are lacking in, giving you a much healthier feeling, as well as helping your organs to function properly. By missing out on the vitamins that your body requires, you are consistently putting it through stress which could cause more harm as you grow older.

In order to determine which type of vitamin is right for you, you are first going to want to understand exactly how vitamins are digested, as well as determining your level of comfort when it comes to drinking a liquid vitamin. Your body may not completely process whole vitamin supplement tablets, but will absorb a lot more of the vitamins found in liquid supplements. Unfortunately, liquid supplements are often hard to swallow, and only those with a strong stomach are able to actually take them consistently. If you can’t take the vitamin on a daily basis, you aren’t getting the true benefits.

Liquid vitamins come in a lot of different forms, ranging from multivitamins, men’s and women’s specific vitamins, supplements for active people, kids, and even vitamins for aging and our elders. These vitamins as stated have a much higher absorption rate than whole tablets do because of the way your body processes what you eat. There are flavors that are produced to help you take them a lot easier, but unfortunately they still do not taste that great. If you have the stomach for it, you may want to consider taking liquid vitamin supplements.

However, for those of you that don’t have the stomach for taking the liquid vitamins, you are going to want to pick up a whole tablet vitamin supplement that can be taken once or twice daily. You will have to take more of the whole tablets than you will of the liquid vitamins because of the absorption rate of pills. The absorption ratio is substantially lower with whole pills, because they don’t break down as easily and are then not absorbed as quickly. By taking longer to be absorbed, your body will often pass the tablet vitamins before they are fully digested.
