Internet technology has moved on in leaps and bounds recently, and it continues to improve year on year. This advancement has had many benefits, not least in the world of movies. The days are gone when you had to stand in line to buy tickets for a movie, you no longer have to wait for the mail to receive the movies you ordered from Blockbusters, and there is no need to ever visit a store to buy or rent a movie ever again.

The new kid on the block is watching movies for free online, and it is perfect for our ‘want it now’ generation. You will never have to wait to see a movie ever again, and you can watch whatever you want at any stage of the day or night. There are many added benefits to movies on demand as well, and they are….

Let’s start off with the convenience of it all. Whenever we visit the movies as a family, the first hurdle we have to clear is getting everyone to agree on the movie they want to see (this is sometimes a lot more difficult than it might sound). After that I have to buy us an advanced family ticket – I know you can pay on the night, but there have been so many times when the theater has been full that we always book beforehand now. When we eventually arrive at the theater it’s usually me that has to stand in line to collect our tickets, then we just have to get everyone a drink and some snacks. All of the above is history now, apart from which movie we want to watch, we just find the movie we want and click the start button nowadays.

Our trips to the movies seem to cost more each time we go – lately they cost me around $60 after I’ve paid for the ticket and popcorn and stuff. This adds up over a year to a sizable amount, but it’s chicken feed compared to what I save on paying for satellite TV now – I was paying $107 a month for this.

These are two of the main benefits, but it’s not limited to that. As well as being able to watch Ahead Of Time for free online at any time, we can also get music videos, documentaries, TV programs, and educational programs. Overall, the money I spent on this has to be one of the best investments I ever made.
